- December 2006 Portland St Pats "Big Man for Christ" fundraising event for planned Spring Break 2007 Youth Group Mission Trip to Port Sulphur.

- November 2006 arrangement for pen-pals between Portland Middle School and South Plaquemines Elementary School classrooms.

- Many ongoing Family-to-Family relationships. 

- October 2006 visit to Port Sulphur-area to deliver 8000 diapers, 40 quilts, other goods, & many hugs.

- August 2006 goodwill trip to Port Sulphur-area by Ken & Joanie Stark of Portland.

- Spring Break 2006 visit by Portland ambassadors.  Delivered two vanloads of donations.  Visited Reverend Max Latham's church to participate in house-gutting.

- Portland Mardi Gras 2006 celebration fund-raiser. The musical Clement family below does a Patsy Cline song.

  

- Port Sulphur ambassador Duffy LaVigne March 2006 visit to Portland classrooms and houses of worship.

- January 2006 visit to Port Sulphur by Building Bridges ambassadors from Portland to kick-off partnership. Two truckloads of linens & toiletries delivered to United Way.
