There are increasing numbers of families moving into temporary housing in the Port Sulphur/Diamond communities and this will come as a welcomed site. The Plaquemines United Way Distribution Center continues to function in Belle Chasse for all affected Plaq. communities.
This past Friday, the first portable school buildings were delivered to Port Sulphur. With the expectation of opening the K-12 (projected student numbers=275) school on Aug. 11, 2006. We will all be quite busy...but over-joyed at the opportunity. Thanks for your continued support."
